The Waterslide.......

Yesterday was our church's annual 4th of July gathering. This year was a little different. Usually we just have Watermelon, but this year our new Pastor decided we would try something new. It was GREAT! We had homeade ice cream, watermelon, left over ham sandwiches from church lunch, a dunking booth, petting zoo, and Space Jump of Jackson brought out 2 inflatable obstacle courses, 1 inflatable dual slip and slide, and 1 inflatable high slip and slide!!!!

Talk about heaven. I was so excited i could hardly hold myself back. My husband did NOT want me getting on the slides......but......i got one of the obstavle courses first. It was a blast i just knew before i could climb over the wall i would fall down and bring some small child to an early death with my extremly large self......but thank the Lord he was watching out for me and the small children and He helped me manage to get over that wall to be able to slide down to MY death!!!

Well my friend Steph and i had already decided we HAD to go down that slip and slide. It was no question to it. So i figured while my husband was getting ready to do the Fireworks thats when i would make my move!!! Steph and i some how managed to get Shelly to go on the adventure of Big Girls Gone Wild down the big inflatable slipping slide! We climbed up.........Steph was first and down she went (after the panicing adults grabbed all of the small children out of the wade pool thinking the splash alone from us would kill them!!

****NO SMALL CHILDREN OR ANIMALS WERE INJURED DURING THIS TIME EITHER****

Shelly was next to go down and she slid down with no problem...........well i kinda hung around the top thinking "this really is high and what if i look like Reshbusha from Norbit flying down this slide and go straight thru the fence ahead......." well Steph left me know time to think of what i was going to do.......nope she didnt she came back up the slide grabbed my arm and down we went..........it was sllllloooooowwww motion all the way down. I could see people watching us and the whole time i was thinking i was going to die or kill someone. I was hitting the replay button in my head the whole 5 seconds down watching Reshbusha as she climbed on the slide and slid down to find herself flying thru a wood fence and landing ALMOST on top of a small child into a small pool of water..........but after she landed there WAS NO WATER!!!! I just knew we would knock all of the water out of the pool at the end of the slide!

Steph had my arm and i had her shirt because if i went thru the fence so was she! As we tumbled down the slide i realized i was turning kinda side ways and felt as though i was going to fall off the side!! Well i didnt fall off......i landed on Steph! After my legs hit the side of the slide it turned me around and i landed on top of her..........I just knew she was dead!!!! But she was ok. Still breathing.... me on the other hand i almost had a heartattack thinking about it trying to write this!!
